Dr. Christopher Wedding is the Founder and Managing Director of IronOak Innovations and the Co-Founder and CEO of g-bit, the green business informatics tool, an IronOak product. He is an entrepreneur, advisor, and professor focused on investment, innovation, and strategy in clean energy, green real estate, and corporate sustainability. Christopher Guidry is the Chief Technology Officer with IronOak Innovations and the Co-Founder and CTO of g-bit, the green business informatics tool, an IronOak product. Mr. Guidry has spent 18 years translating complex business needs into sophisticated software solutions. As a VP at Bank of America, he has worked as both a database and software lead architect. An example of his work include the creation of a database to house over 25 million credit card transactions totaling nearly $5 billion to facilitate the detection of fraud and reduction of fraud rates. He has also created and supported applications utilized by over 50,000 associates within the bank. In addition, Mr. Guidry has been instrumental in improving development standards and reducing development times by an estimated 60% through the introduction of innovative new tools and creative solutions. He has used his skills to serve various industries aside from banking, including green building and landscape architecture. Koichi "Kris" Fukuda is a Managing Director with IronOak Innovations. Mr. Fukuda is a global business executive with four decades of experience as CEO/President/Board member in executive search, life science, software, technology, and clean energy. These roles include: President of Boston Scientific in Asia, where he helped take the firm to IPO (NYSE, $4.5 Billion); Executive Director for Russell Reynolds Associates, a global leader in executive search; board member and Managing Partner of Heidrick & Struggles, a global leader in executive search, where he helped take the firm to IPO (NASDAQ, $1 Billion); President of UK-stock listed Bond International in Japan (a recruiting software); President of Sydney-stock listed Talent2 in Japan (a recruiting software); Founder of the first Japanese cart-based coffee shop chain operation, operated by the mentally challenged, which he donated to his employees; Council member for Duke University’s Fuqua Business School, ranked #1 in the U.S., where he helped develop its Global MBA program; and President of the Duke University Alumni Association of Japan. Dr. Douglas Crawford-Brown is a Senior Director for g-bit.com and IronOak Innovations. He brings 35 years of experience in environmental risk assessment and climate change policy. Dr. Craword-Brown has advised governments and businesses in the US, UK, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Thailand, Abu Dhabi, Mexico and France. He is also the Director of the Cambridge Centre for Climate Change Mitigation Research at the University of Cambridge in the Department of Land Economy, and Emeritus Professor in Environmental Sciences and Policy at the University of North Carolina. He has served on the committees of the Science Science Advisory Board of the US Environmental Protection Agency; the US Legislative Commission on Global Climate Change; the American Water Works Association’s Technical Advisory Workgroup for Climate Change; the European Commission’s Panel of Scientific Experts on Risk; the OFWAT Regulatory Futures Panel; and the HM Treasury Interdependent Infrastructure Expert Panel.
Alan Abramson is a Senior Director with g-bit.com and IronOak Innovations. He brings 35 years of experience in the financial industry, focusing on fixed-income investments and climate change innovation. His work in the capital markets includes roles as Managing Director and VP at Salomon Brothers, Bear Stearns, Greenwich Capital Markets (now RBS Securities), CRT Capital, and Banker’s Trust. In the clean economy, he has served as Visiting Carbon Markets Fellow at Duke’s Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, a top ten global think tank on climate change. He earned a BA in Political Science and a Master’s of Environmental Management from Duke University.
Christopher Clement is a Director for g-bit.com, an IronOak product. He has over 13 years of experience as a consultant, practitioner, researcher, and educator working at the intersection of the clean energy, sustainability, economics, impact investment, and innovation. He brings a creative and analytically rigorous approach to designing solutions for a myriad of business, investor, and government collaborators and clients in the U.S., Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and East Africa. Previously, Mr. Clement was an Economist with the Sustainable Development Group at AECOM, a Fortune 500 company ranked as the #1 Engineering and Design Firm in the world. At AECOM, he specialized in designing analytics, data visualization, and decision-making platforms for sustainable systems planning, design, and development projects. He is a LEED Accredited Professional with the US Green Building Council and has advised investors, governments, and businesses on award-winning sustainable development and clean energy projects around the world. Mr. Clement is also currently a National Science Foundation Fellow at the University of Vermont’s interdisciplinary research program on innovation in energy systems, where he is finishing a PhD this year. He holds two Masters degrees from Yale University, an MBA from the School of Management and a Masters in Environmental Management from the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. He also holds a BS in Environmental Science with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in El Salvador.
Matt Crook is a Director for g-bit.com, an IronOak product. He brings a decade of management consulting, sales and account management, and revenue operations experience to g-bit. Previous roles include business development, investment underwriting and operations work for Birdseye Renewable Energy, a North Carolina-based utility and commercial solar PV project developer. Previous to that, Mr. Crook worked for Navigant Consulting as a management consultant and product manager in their technology group helping to lead consulting engagements and reposition an acquired technology into a SaaS offering for Navigant’s core clients. He also worked for Corporate Executive Board (CEB) for over six years, and held numerous positions within the revenue and technology teams, which included leading revenue operations for the companies' key accounts team and managing technology development projects for client-facing web applications. Mr. Crook holds a BA in Political Science and Urban and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) and an MBA from UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School, where he is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
Tyler Felgenhauer, phd
Dr. Tyler Felgenhauer is a Director at g-bit.com, an IronOak product. He has over 15 years of experience in climate change policy, adaptation, and economics as well as international relations, including work with the World Bank, RTI, U.S. Department of State, Center for Resource Solutions, Institute for Market Transformation, Princeton University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where he was part of a team awarded a Bronze Medal for Commendable Service. His focus has been on the quantitative and qualitative analysis of climate-society interactions, especially in contexts of decision making under uncertainty, including greenhouse gas accounting, Monte Carlo simulation, and integrated assessment modeling using DICE, as well as work with MARKAL, STELLA, @Risk, and Stata. His work has an international focus, including experience in multiple countries and proficiency in Russian. He earned a PhD in Public Policy from UNC, a Masters in Public Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, and a BA in Government from Cornell University.
Pierre Moses is an Associate with IronOak Innovations. He previously worked for six years as the founder and director of Make It Right Solar, a for-profit subsidiary of Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation, delivering innovative, cost effective renewable energy solutions to communities in need. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Mr. Moses has structured and completed more than 250 solar PV projects including more than 130 LEED Platinum certified residences across New Orleans, Louisiana. He has participated in multiple New Markets Tax Credit transactions in funding projects to advance the adoption of renewable energy and energy efficiency features in distressed communities. He is a founding board member of the Gulf States Renewable Energy Industries Association and also holds positions on several advisory boards including the Three Birds Foundation in Washington, D.C. He was named ’40 Under 40’ in 2013 by the New Orleans Gambit Weekly and has also received a ‘Development of Distinction’ award from the Novogradac Journal of Tax Credits. Mr. Moses is a graduate of the College of Charleston and a Morton A. Aldrich Fellow at Tulane University’s School of Business.
JD Freeman, PE, LEED-AP is an Associate with g-bit.com, an IronOak product. He has practiced engineering for over 12 years in both the military and commercial markets. Mr. Freeman graduated with a BS in civil engineering from the United States Air Force Academy before serving in a variety of engineering and leadership roles as an Air Force officer in North Carolina, Baghdad and Germany. He is also a Professional Engineer (P.E.), Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and LEED Accredited Professional Operations + Management (LEED AP O+M). In addition, JD earned an MBA with a concentration in leadership and strategy from the Kenan-Flagler Executive MBA Program. He is a member of multiple professional organizations, such as the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), US Green Building Council (USGBC) and Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). Clayton Avent is an Associate with IronOak Innovations. His expertise lies in business and product development in the electric power sector, with a special focus on energy storage and other demand-side technologies. Mr. Avent has a breadth of private-sector energy experience, ranging from internal consulting in demand-side programs at Pacific Gas & Electric to sales and business development at Stem, a distributed energy storage and analytics startup. At PG&E, Clayton consulted on strategies for demand-side technologies including demand response, electric vehicles, distributed generation and rate design. He earned his B.A. in Economics with High Distinction from the University of Virginia. Mr. Avent spent five years as a touring musician and marketing analytics manager in the music industry before returning to graduate school to devote his career to mitigating climate change.
Joe Crawford is an Analyst and focuses on trend research, data management, and marketing for g-bit.com, an IronOak product. Mr. Crawford's specialties are consulting, legal writing, sustainable business, corporate sustainability and entrepreneurship.
